About

Hi, I'm Tjibbe.
I make software that lasts.

Ten-plus years designing and architecting systems used by millions of people — now running Weaby, a one-person studio. With AI, writing software isn't the hard part anymore — keeping it maintainable and affordable at scale is. That's where I come in.

I've spent the last ten-plus years designing and architecting systems used by millions of people — the kind where downtime, security gaps and unreadable code aren't options. That's the bar I hold every Weaby engagement to.

The idea isn't the rare part anymore. With AI, anyone can get something working in a weekend. What's still rare is knowing how to keep it standing as it grows — the conventions, the deploys, the design system that holds together when a second engineer, or an AI agent, joins the codebase.

Working with a one-person studio means no handoffs and no juniors learning on your codebase. The person who designs the system is the person who ships it, and the person who answers when something breaks.

Software isn't the problem anymore.

Anyone can get something working. The bill arrives later — in maintenance, in cost per user, in the rewrite nobody budgeted for.
